XXXTentacion’s ‘?’ Album Hits 10 Billion Spotify Streams
XXXTentacion’s 2018 album ? has hit a new streaming milestone. According to ChartMasters, the sophomore project has surpassed 10 billion plays on Spotify. It is the first and only rap album to hit the record-breaking number. HipHopDX reported ? surpassed the 10 billion mark on Monday (Oct. 23).
The data reveals albums to out-perform the fan-favorite LP include works by Post Malone, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo, Ed Sheeran, and The Weeknd. Ranked at No. 1 with over 14 billion streams is Bad Bunny’s 2022 release Un Verano Sin Ti.
Closely following XXXTentacion is Drake, who counts more than nine billion streams on his 2018 album Scorpion.
XXXTentacion issued ? on March 16, 2018, months before he was gunned down in his home state of Florida. The genre-bending work features Joey Bada$$, PnB Rock, Travis Barker, and more across 18 tracks. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and is certified 5x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
In June, the chart-topping rapper counted eight songs total on Spotify’s 50 most-streamed rap songs ever released in honor of Hip-Hop’s 50th anniversary, with one of his biggest hits, “SAD!,” ranking in the top three.
XXXTentacion’s other entries included “Jocelyn Flores” at No.5, “Moonlight” at No. 13, the diamond-certified track “F**k Love” featuring Trippie Redd at No. 19, “Everybody Dies In Their Nightmares” at No. 21, “Changes” at No. 26, “Look At Me!” at No. 28, and “Hope” at No. 41.
