Yahoo readers react to Harvey Weinstein's guilty verdict
It’s a wrap on Harvey Weinstein’s trial, and possibly on his freedom.
A jury found Weinstein guilty on two of the five possible counts on Monday— criminal sexual act in the first degree and rape in the third degree.
Though he was found not guilty on the three counts that would have come with the most prison time, Weinstein still faces an uncertain future.
The punishment for rape in the third degree ranges anywhere between probation and four years behind bars, but criminal sexual act in the first degree carries a minimum of five years in prison and a maximum of 25.
Weinstein was taken out of court in handcuffs and will remain in custody until his scheduled sentencing on March 11.
