In this 2017 C-drama, Yang Mi plays the role of a nine-tailed fox named Bai Qian. She becomes a disciple of the God of War, Mo Yuan (Mark Chao). When a war breaks out, Mo Yuan sacrifices his life to seal a demon lord. Several thousand years later, Bai Qian attempts to repeat the action. Instead, she gets stuck in the mortal realm. To make matters more complicated, she loses all her memories and divine power. Later on, Bai Qian saves Crown Prince Ye Hua, who has an uncanny resemblance with the late Mo Yuan. As the two fall in love, their destinies intertwine, compelling them to meet in three different worlds.

Legend of Fuyao
This 2018 C-drama is an adaptation of Tian Xia Gui Yuan’s novel Empress Fuyao. Fuyao (Yang Mi) was adopted as a child and enslaved by the Xuan Yuan sect. After encountering a series of tragedies, she embarks on a journey to free herself from the curse that wrecked her life. She meets the Crown Prince of Tianquan, Zhang Sun Wu Ji (Etan Juan). After the two fall in love, Wu Ji helps her find her true identity.
Legend of Fu Yao is available to stream on iQIYI, Viki and Prime Video.
She and Her Perfect Husband
Qin Shi (Yang Mi) is a career-oriented lawyer. After her brother secretly changes her marital status to “married” without her consent, she gets employed by a firm. Her outstanding performance earns her promotion and the approval of the founder, Lao Jin. Qin Shi initially decides to clear the misunderstanding, but a chance encounter with Yang Hua (Xu Kai) changes her plan. Yang Hua is also rushed into marriage by his mother. The two form an alliance that will benefit them both.

Novoland: Pearl Eclipse
Ye Haishi (Yang Mi) is a young girl living in a coastal village whose father was killed while on a fishing trip. Since their world has the presence of mermaids who live in the sea, it is believed that their tears can turn into valuable pearls. Thus, capitalizing on the opportunity, greedy villagers make them and collect their tears to sell. Amidst this, the emperor suddenly attacks Haishi’s village and destroys it. As soldiers ransack the village, she develops a grudge for the emperor, whom she holds responsible for the tragic events. Thus begins her journey to seek revenge on him.
