Yara Shahidi went business-chic in Venice on Tuesday at the Max Mara resort 2025 show at Piazza San Marco in an eye-catching pair of the brand’s Smooth Leather sandals.
Hand-crafted in a square-toe design, the sandals are made with leather and feature a double-toe strap throughout the upper alongside raw-cut straps crossed at the ankle with a small side buckle. The shoes also boast a two-level leather sole for added thickness and a leather insole with light padding at the toe for extra comfort. The silhouette is completed by a chunky block heel measuring 3.5 inches.
The “Grownish” actress finished her look with a slightly oversized tan blazer, which she paired with a matching tank and shorts underneath. Wearing a glam makeup look with dark eyeshadow and a neutral lip, Shahidi let her curls loose in a middle-part style.
The 24-year-old has been choosing luxurious footwear looks for her appearances as of late. Earlier this month, she attended the Cameron Boyce Foundation’s 3rd Annual Cam for a Cause Gala in Los Angeles in a pair of chocolate brown pointed-toe pumps that featured dark brown glossy uppers, accompanied by 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels.
For the special screening of “Peter Pan & Wendy” at the South Street Seaport Museum in New York, Shahidi stepped out in silver knee-high boots with metallic uppers, crosshatched embossing and a square-toe construction atop sizable wedge heels.
That same month, she attended the world premiere of “Peter Pan & Wendy” at The Curzon Mayfair in London wearing Alexander McQueen’s pin heels, which she paired with a gown from the brand that included a high neckline, symmetrical cutouts on the bodice and a fringe skirt.
Max Mara showed their Resort 2025 collection in Venice on Tuesday. Helmed by creative director Ian Griffiths, the collection celebrated luxury and was attended by Brie Larson, Kate Hudson and Alexa Chung, among others.
