Yara Shahidi attended the Cameron Boyce Foundation’s 3rd Annual Cam for a Cause Gala held on Sunday in Los Angeles.
The gala is held in honor of actor Cameron Boyce and aims to cure epilepsy through funding research, education and awareness campaigns. Many friends of the deceased actor came out to support including Dove Cameron, Missi Pyle, Nolan Gould, Taylor Lautner, Kevin Chamberlin and Booboo Stewart. Boyce’s family was also in attendance.
For the occasion, Shahidi donned a pair of lush chocolate brown pumps. The pointed-toe style featured dark brown glossy uppers, accompanied by 2 to 3-inch stiletto heels. The pointed-toe style of pump is exceedingly popular amongst many famous folks, Shahidi included.
The “Peter Pan and Wendy” actress’ footwear was a neutral choice that acted to spotlight her dress, offering emphasis and contrast. Neutral-toned pumps are a must-have item for many because of their versatility. Shahidi’s pumps often hail from high-end brands like Christian Louboutin, Alexander McQueen and Dior. These footwear choices are often neutral, a preference of Shahidi’s for most of her wardrobe, although, she sometimes opts for a metallic style once in a while.
Bringing something vintage into the equation, the “Grown-ish” star was outfitted in a form-fitted Christian Dior dress, accompanied by a matching cardigan. Both Shahidi’s cardigan and dress were crafted of a grayish brown silky embellished with sprawling baby blue florals and beading. The cardigan was cropped with puffy sleeves while Shahidi’s dress featured a ruched bodice and bow detailing. Given her ambassadorship for the French fashion house, her look for the night makes a lot of sense.
For footwear, she favors embellished sandals, platform silhouettes and shiny pumps. Along with her eclectic style, the entertainer has made a name for herself in the fashion industry by collaborating with Adidas and serving as a global brand ambassador for Dior.
