Yellowcard returning to Jacksonville for July concert
Yellowcard, the pop-punk band that formed in Jacksonville in the late '90s and sold out two shows at Daily's Place in July, is coming back to town in July.
Yellowcard is teaming up with Third Eye Blind for the Summer Gods Tour. The tour opens June 8 in Washington and includes a stop at Jacksonville's VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena on Friday, July 26. Ticket prices were not released, but they will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday.
The tour runs for 37 shows and includes a stop in Tampa the night before the Jacksonville show.

Following a six-year hiatus, Yellowcard returned to the stage last summer to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its breakout album, "Ocean Avenue." The band released a new dance version of the album's title song, mixed by Grammy-winning DJ Steve Aioki, in December.
This will be the fourth year for the Summer Gods Tour, which raises money for SeaTrees, a nonprofit organization that plants and protects coastal ecosystems to counter global warming.
