Yellowjackets Season 3 Release Date Window Revealed
According to Deadline, Showtime is currently targeting a 2025 release date for the highly-anticipated Yellowjackets Season 3. This comes after pre-production on the next installment was indefinitely delayed due to last year’s WGA strike, which lasted for 148 days.
Yellowjackets Will Get a Bonus Episode Ahead of Season 3
Following its Season 2 finale, Yellowjackets co-creator Ashley Lyle confirmed that they planned to drop a bonus episode before the thriller drama return for its third season. However, further details about the said episode are still being kept under wraps.
The series stars Christina Ricci, Juliette Lewis, Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Samantha Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Sophie Nélisse, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Steven Krueger, and Warren Kole. Season 2 also introduced Lauren Ambrose as adult Van Palmer, Simone Kessell as adult Lottie, and Elijah Wood as citizen detective Walter. It is executive produced by creators Lyle and Bart Nickerson along with Drew Comins, Karyn Kusama, and Jonathan Lisco.
“Equal parts survival epic, psychological horror story, and coming-of-age drama, it tells the saga of a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness,” reads the series’ synopsis. “The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”
