However, as far as new adaptations of the series, there are a few that have continued to circulate the media sphere over the last few years — with one even recently being cast! The Madison
The Madison is an upcoming Yellowstone spinoff that fans can celebrate, as it’s one of the few with concrete details and a true debut in sight. Recently, a few key cast members were revealed and viewers were ecstatic at the familiar faces they’re expecting to see bring this series to life.

Michelle Pfeiffer is one of the confirmed actresses in the series, set to play the role of Paige McIntosh, a mother of two married to Russell McIntosh, portrayed by none other than Patrick J. Adams of Suits.

Another recently announced cast member was Matthew Fox, known by many for his role in the hit series Lost, who is said to be playing an outdoorsy bachelor in the show. While details are still unclear, the plot will surround the McIntoshs, a family from New York living in Montana. Additional cast members include Beau Garrett and Elle Chapman. The series is hoping for a 2025 premiere, as reported by Deadline.
There was also talks of another spinoff titled 2024, but it is unclear whether or not The Madison is the new title for that particular series, or if 2024 is a separate series that remains in the works.
1944
There’s 1883, 1923, and hopefully at some point in the near future, 1944. While no details of this series have been announced, the characters that led 1923, including Brandon Sklenar’s Spencer Dutton and Julia Schlaepfer’s Alexandra, could potentially continue the story.

Pronounced as “four sixes,” based on the title, fans can expect this series to revolve around the Four Sixes Ranch, where the character of Jimmy was sent to re-establish his cowboy roots.

Will Matthew McConaughey make his ‘Yellowstone’ universe debut?

McConaughey’s involvement in the Yellowstone franchise has long been discussed, but sadly, nothing has been set in stone as of yet. Many have wondered if he was supposed to play a part in The Madison and things fell through, or if an entirely different saga is on the horizon for him.
Regardless, show creator Taylor Sheridan sang his praises, saying, “He seems like a natural fit,” to The Hollywood Reporter back in 2023. “We had a few conversations over the years, and spitballed a few ideas. Then he started watching Yellowstone and responded to it. He was like, ‘I want to do that.’ And by ‘that’ he meant diving into a raw world clashing up against the modern world. And then I said, ‘Buddy, that we can do.’”
