The second part of Season 5 of Yellowstone is on its way, and a brand-new trailer gives fans a preview of what’s next for the Dutton family.

The long-awaited continuation of the series comes after much speculation and debate over the fate of the show’s lead, John Dutton, played by Kevin Costner. While it was ultimately determined that he would not be returning to the hit neo-western series, making its return on November 10, that doesn’t mean fans have lost interest in the Dutton crew and the fate of the family we’ve come to love so much.

Here, take a look at the latest trailer:

While the first half of season 5 left us with about a million unanswered questions, we’re hoping that the second part gives us the closure and clarity we’ve been hoping for. One of the biggest plot points that fans have been curious about is what will happen to Jamie, especially as Beth thinks his death will be what’s best in the long run for their family and the ranch. “The only thing left to do is to kill as much as you can before they kill you,” Beth, played by Kelly Reilly, urges at the end of the trailer.

What happened in season 5 part 1 of Yellowstone?

A lot went down in the first half of season 5 of Yellowstone. John Dutton became governor, which put some of the power back in the hands of him and his family. However, his adopted son Jamie posed a threat for most of the season, with the help of the meddling Sarah Atwood, a lawyer representing Market Equities who certainly doesn’t have good intentions when it comes to the Duttons and their ranch. Together with Jamie, they pose quite a threat to the family—and one that Beth thinks is big enough to take her nemesis brother to the train station over.

On a more personal front, Kayce and Monica tragically lost their baby after a devastating car accident, though the moment ultimately allowed Monica and John to bond in a way they hadn’t prior.

While that doesn’t quite touch the surface of all that took place in the fifth season, it’s safe to say things are far from peaceful on the Dutton Ranch. Furthermore, with the upcoming season taking place without Kevin Costner, we can’t help but wonder how his absence will play out within the plot—and the anticipated impact it will have on the family who relies on him and his leadership so heavily.

"Taylor [Sheridan] did an amazing job of taking a very complex story and wrapping it up as best as I think any writer can,” Cole Hauser, who plays the beloved Rip, told The Pioneer Woman. “There's a lot of different things going on." Don’t miss the new season, out on November 10, to see what’s in store for our favorite Montana-based family!
