YG Leads Peace Walk Between Rival Blood Gangs In Compton

YG has continued to use his influence in a positive manner, as the rapper recently organized a peace walk in an effort to foster solidarity between rival gangs.

According to TMZ, the peace walk took place Sunday (Aug. 18) in YG’s Compton stomping grounds and saw members of the rival Treetop Pirus and Fruit Town Pirus gangs participating in the effort to quell tensions between the two crews.

Beginning at the Gonzales Park, the walk saw YG leading gang members, local residents and children throughout the notorious neighborhood.

Documenting the occasion on his own social media accounts and stopping to take photos, YG and others were unabashed in their pride for the Piru brotherhood, throwing up gang signs while professing their loylaty to their set.

In one clip, YG can be seen leading the crowd to legendary Compton eatery Tam’s Burgers, where he and others partook in a meal consisting of the establishment’s various offerings. Another superstar participant in the peace walk was The Game, who could be seen walking alongside YG and posing for photos.

The 34-year-old’s weekend was an eventful one, as it was kicked off with the release of his new project, JUST RE’D UP 3 on Friday (Aug. 16). The third installment in the series, the tape is a double-disc featuring appearances by Ty Dolla $ign, Saweetie, Mustard, Lil Yachty and more.
