EXCLUSIVE: UK agency YMU will co-manage British fashion model and presenter Leomie Anderson.

YMU has teamed with Anderson’s current reps, Brand Creative Group, to form “a unique partnership” to oversee her career.

More from Deadline

Anderson began as a model aged 14, walking for fashion houses such as Giorgio Armani and Tom Ford before becoming the first Victoria Secret Angel from a Black British background. She has since established herself as TV presenter, last year replacing Maya Jama to front BBC and Netflix make-up competition show Glow Up.

She also founded and leads LAPP (Leomie Anderson, the Project, the Purpose), which is a body positive sportswear brand and online platform promoting female empowerment and awareness of mental health, rights and body image.

YMU’s Managing Director of Global Entertainment, Lucy Loveridge, said: “YMU’s signing of global talent such as Leomie Anderson demonstrates the international reach and diversity housed within our Global Entertainment division. Leomie is a multi-faceted powerhouse: An all-round presenter, brand creator and advocate for social good. We are delighted to welcome her to YMU and can’t wait to start working with the team at Brand Creative.”

Archna Sawjani and Manny Ezugwu, co-founders of Brand Creative Group, added: “We are excited to join forces with YMU. Leomie is not only a remarkable model but also a powerful voice and role model. Together with YMU, we are excited to continue to support her journey, amplify her influence and explore new opportunities that align with her vision especially around diversity and inclusivity. This partnership marks the beginning of a dynamic collaboration. We look forward to achieving great success with the YMU team.”

Loveridge’s division has this year signed the likes of Grace Beverley and Max Baledge. YMU’s clients include Simon Cowell and Graham Norton, though the likes of Amelia Dimoldenberg, Nicole Scherzinger and Claudia Winkleman have moved to new agencies this year, and a number of agents have exited over recent months. Last month, it hired LADBible exec Drew Middleton to lead digital marketing and social strategy and Spotify’s Rhyanna Coleman to oversee podcasting output.

YMU officially got new ownership earlier this year following a restructuring program in 2023.
