Yo Gotti and Angela Simmons attend White House Christmas party
Rapper Yo Gotti may have started out in the Ridgecrest Apartment of North Memphis, but this week the hip-hop mogul made it all the way to the White House in Washington, D.C.
On Friday morning, Gotti posted a video — to his 6 million-plus Instagram followers and 2 million-plus on Twitter — showing him in formal wear taking in the sights and sounds of first lady Jill Biden’s Christmas party on Wednesday.
The edited minute-long clip from Gotti showed him and his partner, Angela Simmons, mixing and mingling at the White House, listening to Christmas music from a string ensemble, posing in front of portraits of the Obamas, and watching President Joe Biden speak.
Gotti simply captioned the video with: “Welcome to the White House. Happy Holidays” — adding the hashtags “Anything Possible” and “Keep Hustling.”
Other social media posts from the evening showed Simmons and Gotti posing with fellow rapper E-40 and his wife, Tracy Stevens.

There’s been no official word on how Gotti secured his White House invite, but the rapper turned CMG label CEO has plenty of D.C. ties. He is part owner, since 2021, of the Major League Soccer franchise D.C. United.
Gotti had previously visited the White House in July, where he was photographed with the first lady during a youth event on the South Lawn promoting MLS All Star Week.
