YSL Woody apologized to Young Thug for his role in the YSL trial. On Thursday (Oct. 17), a video of Woody addressing Thug and the situation went viral. Woody uploaded a video called “Just A Conversation With Lil Woody” to his YouTube channel, showing a more remorseful side to himself and explaining how he wronged Thugger.

“The pain, the suffering, everything I’ve caused on him and his family,” he said. “I wish I had the mindset and the strength that I have now. I’ll never forgive myself. I took him through a process that I never should have took him through. Even though I know I’m not the cause of it, despite how anybody may feel, it’s wrong.”

The post arrived a month after Woody, né Kenneth Copeland, dedicated a whole post to Young Thug. He offered a prayer to Thug in an Instagram post, asking God for forgiveness and to watch over Jeffrey in a “corrupt” system.

“Father God we need you now more than ever I pray that you answer our prayer and free Jeffery & co-defendants. The world has seen the treatment our justice system has done to us lock us up forced us to tell untruthful stories,” he typed. “The mistreatment is crazy. Wrong is wrong we have sympathy for all the victims and their families as kids bad choices are made and punishment is acceptable but this is a different story this is corruption this is madness and very personal.”

“God you know our heart and mindset you know our growth please touch the wicked and change their heart and release them 6 men that’s fighting for their life everyday in that court room. They have family that loves them and need them this isn’t about justice it’s about power and I pray that those who think they have more power than God realize the pain and suffering they are causing as well. I ask for forgiveness everyday and I refuse to sit by and continue to watch us hurt each other it has to stop at some point.”

Throughout the highly publicized case, Woody has gone viral for maintaining that he has lied to law enforcement and even made up “fake people” to “snitch on.” At one point, Woody took the stand and admitted that he had lied to the police about Young Thug committing crimes.

“This is what happened,” Woody said when he took the stand Aug. 12. “OK. The police kept locking me up for whatever they could. Every time I come out the door, the police was on me, and they keep bringing up Thug’s name. So what I did was to get ’em off me, I said, ‘Thug did this. Thug did that. Thug,’ because I knew they were—I knew he didn’t do it.”
