Young Thug Seemingly Calls Out Gunna in Since-Deleted Tweet: 'Stop Acting Like We Friends'
Young Thug may not be cool with Gunna , as fans had initially thought following his release from prison earlier this month.
Over the weekend, Thugga shared a since-deleted tweet that has people wondering if he was throwing shots at his "Pushin P" collaborator. Fans believed the two were no longer cool after Gunna was released from prison in 2022 after taking an Alford plea deal, which had many believe the Wunna rapper snitched on Thug.
Despite denying the rumor and continuing to rep the YSL record label, Gunna was labeled as a snitch. Fast forward to 2024, and one of the requests Thug's lawyer asked the judge regarding his client's release was to allow him to continue making music with Gunna as they have contractual obligations to YSL . Fans got wind of the news and believed all was good between the rappers until now.
In his since-deleted tweet, Young Thug ominously wrote, "Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet, I don't know you my guy."
Now, it's important to note that Thug could've been speaking about himself and being friends with people on the internet by using "Gunna" as a way to write "Going to." However, deleting the tweet and people believing Gunna ratted out Thugga adds a whole layer of doubt to their relationship.
Gunna's attorney, Steve Sadow, has publicly dismissed the accusations regarding his client and snitching. According to Sadow, Gunna isn't working with authorities, and his plea deal states he can't be asked to testify in court regarding the YSL RICO case.
"Gunna did not snitch to get out of jail," Sadow wrote in an Instagram post. "He has said nothing and is not cooperating. His plea statement cannot be used in court against any other defendant. So please stop spreading lies."
