Telenovela: Monday, Dec. 7 at 10 p.m. on NBC
Get a sneak peek at the Spanish-language answer to Soapdish in advance of its January launch. Eva Longoria steps into the Sally Field role of the established (but aging) soap star, while Jencarlos Canela takes over Kevin Kline role as her once — and maybe future? — lover.

The Muppets: Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 8 p.m. on ABC
Say farewell to Kermit and his pals…at least in their current incarnation. When the series returns in February, it’ll have a new showrunner and, potentially, a whole new premise. Our suggestion? Send Denise back to the pen.

You’re the Worst: Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 10:30 p.m. on FXX
The critically adored and criminally low-rated anti-rom com closes out its daring, darkly funny sophomore season. Thankfully, it’s already been picked up for a third year, which is the best Worst news we’ve heard all week.

Coat of Many Colors: Thursday, Dec. 10 at 9 p.m. on NBC
Dolly Parton’s Appalachian childhood serves as the inspiration for this inspirational TV movie, the first in what the network hopes will become a family friendly franchise. Newcomer Alyvia Alyn Lind plays lil’ Dolly, whose youthful enthusiasm in the face of adversity shines as brightly as the multiple colors on her coat.

Transparent: Friday, Dec. 11 on Amazon
Fresh off its multiple Emmy victories — including a much-deserved statue for star, Jeffrey Tambor — Jill Soloway’s semi-autobiographical series returns for Season 2.
