Yung Joc Cautions Sexyy Red Of Encouraging The “H*e Spirit”
Yung Joc wants Sexyy Red to be careful in promoting the “h*e spirit.”
During a recent interview with Vlad TV, the ATL rapper was asked his thoughts on the “Pound Town” entertainer. He praised her for being herself and refusing to change. He then warned her to watch out for people looking to “exploit” her for personal gain. Joc also made his intentions clear and didn’t want to come off like he’s “hating on success.”
“She’s not trying to pretend to be something she’s not,” he said. “I think she’s comfortable in her truth. But I think she has to be careful with being exploited.”
“I’m seeing the way she presents herself, and it’s not that she don’t know better. It’s what she’s comfortable with doing. I’m not knocking Sexyy Red. I don’t want nobody to think I’m knocking her. I just think she should be a little more sensible when it comes to the censorship because these babies be listening to this sh*t, you know what I’m saying? Gotta check those h*e spirits.”
As the interview continued, the host spoke about the importance of “protecting the babies” from specific messages in music. The “It’s Goin Down” artist gave an example of what his mother did to ensure he and his brother were cared for as a single mom. However, Joc pointed to the new generation of women and disclosed they are a bit different.
“Now, these women is letting it be known, like, yo, ‘I’ll do you and your brother, Thats my lick back,” he added. “And that’s just not Sexyy Red. There are a lot of women doing that, too, but Sexyy Red has a different approach. She has a downright ‘I’m in the hood, I’m out the hood approach. I’m promoting classic ratchet h*e activity.’ And that’s just what it is.
“I’m not gonna judge her off of her music because I have been judged off of the music. But, I don’t know, I have never met Sexyy Red. She could be a real down chick, a real good person. She could be a viable citizen. But listening to her music, she seems like a little hood chick that’s just doing her thing.”
