Zakk Wylde has announced his own one-day music festival, featuring performances by his own Black Label Society as well as Cody Jinks, Clutch, and more. The inaugural Berzerkus fest will take place September 14th at Poconos Park in Bushkill, Pennsylvania.
Joining the aforementioned acts on the bill are Rival Sons, Black Stone Cherry, and three tribute acts: ZOSO (the ultimate Led Zeppelin experience), The Atomic Punks (a tribute to early Van Halen), and The Iron Maidens (the world’s only all-female tribute to Iron Maiden).
Tickets go on sale this Friday (February 2nd) at 8 a.m. ET via the official Berzerkus website. Fans who sign up here can get access to tickets one day earlier, with early-bird general admission lawn tickets going for as low as $19.99.
In addition to the music performances, the fest will also feature a curated car show, a strongman competition, an arm wrestling competition, craft beer tasting, a battle of the bands competition, and a Ride For Dime charity motorcycle ride in memory of late Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell.
“Poconos Park is honored to work with Zakk Wylde to host Berzerkus in the Poconos!” stated Poconos Park/From The Roots CEO John M. Oakes. “Integrating Zakk’s vision and passions into a fan-focused festival experience is going to be fun for all who attend.”
The festival will come amid a busy touring schedule for Wylde. Having just wrapped up a tour with Zakk Sabbath, the guitarist is set to hit the road as a member of the revamped Pantera. The legendary metal act will kick off a month-long headlining North American tour with special guests Lamb of God on February 3rd, and will also open select dates for Metallica later in the year. Tickets to Pantera’s upcoming shows are available here.
