Venus is the goddess of love, beauty, and victory — and on Friday, Zara Larsson’s stans’ prayers were answered as she dropped her new album, Venus.

“It’s a little bit all over the place, but that’s honestly just very me!” she said in a press release.
In the video for “You Love Who You Love,” the singer plays a pawn shop owner as she sells a necklace with the words “I’m Sorry” to a customer before she fans herself with the money she made. The video jumps between clips of her working the pawnshop, singing karaoke, and dancing in the shop’s office.
In the lyrics, Larsson sings to a friend who refuses to let go of their horrible partner. “But you don’t wanna listen/You just tell me, ‘You love who you lovе,'” Larsson sings. “Won’t be long, it’s a matter of time/Till you call mе ’cause he made you cry.”
Friday’s album featured the single “Can’t Tame Her,” along with songs such as “None of These Guys,” “Soundtrack,” and “The Healing.” The album featured songwriting by Rick Nowels, Violet Skies, and Casey Smith, along with production by MNEK and MTHR.
Venus follows the singer’s EP Honor the Light, which was led by “Memory Lane.” Her last album came in 2021 with Poster Girl.
Larsson is set to hit the road in February with stops across Europe, including in London, Brussels, Dublin, and Prague. She’s also set to announce a run of dates in the United States later this year.
