Zayn Malik & Gigi Hadid’s Touching Birthday Tributes to Daughter Khai Have Fans in Their Feels
Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid are two proud and nostalgic parents on their sweet daughter Khai’s birthday. The celebrities — who had an on-and-off relationship and split about a year after Khai was born — took to Instagram to share touching tributes to their 4-year-old, and now fans are rightfully in their feels.
Malik posted a single shot of him and Khai standing on the beach. The photo shows Malik holding Khai on his hip, as she — “the most important person in [his] life” — wraps an arm around his neck.

“I love you more than words allow me to express, beyond proud to call you my daughter … grateful for every second I get to spend next to you, as you become the incredible person I know you already are,” the One Direction singer wrote in his caption. “Four years ago today my life changed forever and I wouldn’t be the man I am today without you.”
And now we want to know who started cutting onions! We’re getting teary, and we’re not the only ones. Followers wished Khai a happy birthday and kept using the misty-eyed emoji because the heartfelt post is just too cute to handle.
For her post, Hadid shared that Khai had a weeklong celebration (as she should!) and revealed her interests.
“She loves animals (fantastical ones too), music, baby Yoda, all things nature & bugs, Descendants, anything squishy or miniature, and if possible — will be in the water from dawn til dusk. ??”
So it was only fitting that the model shared photos from her daughter’s Baby Yoda-themed birthday, a snap of Khai riding a unicorn, and multiple of her in the water.
“She is curious, adventurous, loving, and oh so witty ???? Khai — it is my life’s greatest joy and pride to be your mama!!!!” Hadid continued. “Thank you for the four best years of my life — you remind me to live life to the fullest every day, in the most simple & beautiful ways. Your possibilities are endless, my sweetest love !!!! ?????????????♀???????? YODA BEST ????”

Other fans couldn’t get over the references Hadid made to Malik in the post. “‘OUR GIRL’ ‘DAWN TILL DUSK’ ‘KHAI MALIK’ STOP I’M CRYING ????,” one person said because Hadid called Khai “our girl,” “Dusk Till Dawn” is one of Malik’s songs, and she used her ex’s surname on Khai’s Descendants-themed scroll.
When announcing Khai’s birth in 2020, Malik shared a black-and-white photo of his newborn’s hand grasping his thumb and wrote, “Our baby girl is here, healthy & beautiful … The love i feel for this tiny human is beyond my understanding. Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, & thankful for the life we will have together.”
Hadid then shared a different black-and-white shot of Malik and their daughter. “Our girl joined us earth-side this weekend and she’s already changed our world. So in love????,” she captioned the photo.
