Zelda Williams chastises Eric Trump for using Robin Williams clip to further 'political agenda'
Zelda Williams is defending her father Robin Williams' legacy.
The actress, 31, took to Twitter Monday to hit back at Eric Trump after President Donald Trump's son shared a video of her late father, who died nearly six years ago on August 11, 2014.
On Thursday, Eric Trump resurfaced a 2009 clip of Robin Williams mocking then-Vice President Joe Biden, who is now the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee set to run against Trump in the 2020 election.
"We still have great comedy out there. There's always rambling Joe Biden," Robin said during the 30-second clip, which was taken from his "Weapons of Self Destruction" 2009 special. "Joe is like your uncle who is on a new drug and doesn’t have the dosage right."

One day ahead of the sixth anniversary of her father's death, Zelda Williams chastised Eric Trump for using old clips of the star to "further your political agenda."
"While we’re ‘reminiscing’ (to further your political agenda), you should look up what he said about your Dad," Zelda Williams tweeted. "I did. Promise you, it’s much more 'savage.'"
During a 2012 stand-up, Robin Williams called Donald Trump a "scary man" while poking fun at his hair ("I believe the hair is 'the Donald'"); his inappropriate comments about daughter Ivanka Trump ("This is a man who said ‘my daughter is hot.' Even people in Arkansas went 'that's… wrong'"); and Trump's previous ownership of the Miss Universe beauty pageants ("Isn't that a bit like Michael Vick owning a series of pet stores?")

Williams concluded her Twitter message by encouraging her father's fans to exercise their civic duty: "Gentle reminder that the dead can’t vote, but the living can."
She took to Twitter the same night to reflect on the death of her father, who died at 63. While Williams says she appreciates the love and condolences, she admits feeling "emotionally buried under a pile of others' memories instead of my own."
"It's hard for me on regular, good days to remain the person expected to graciously accept the world's need to share their memories of him and express their condolences for his loss," she wrote Monday.

"While I am constantly touched by all of your boundless continued love for him, some days it can feel like being seen as a roadside memorial - a place, not a person - where people drive past and leave their sentiments to then go about their days comforted their love for him was witnessed."
She then shared various resources for people seeking help, including the National Suicide Prevention Hotline, the Veterans Crisis Line and The Trevor Project hotline, among many others.
The comedian's three children — Williams, and sons Zak, 37, and Cody, 28 — have continued to keep their father's memory alive. In 2019, Cody got married on what would have been Robin Williams' 68th birthday and Zak named his first child McLaurin Clement Williams (McLaurin was the actor's middle name).
