Zoe Kravitz attended a Dom Perignon Event in tribute to artist Jean-Michel Basquiat held yesterday in New York.
A favorite of Kravitz’s, the thespian sported a pair of Dune slingbacks from Saint Laurent. Retailing for $1,090, the shoe choice featured sharp pointed toes, glossy black leather uppers and slingback straps threaded through adjustable tortoiseshell buckle closures.
4.3-inch sculptural flared heels rounded out the set, offering the otherwise standard silhouette a unique touch. Angular and sleek, the footwear pick was a strong one, making for a flirty formal addition. The “Blink Twice” star has worn the designer brand’s Dune style on a multitude of occasions in a multitude of neutral colorways. Namely, Kravitz has styled them while appearing on talk shows and gracing red-carpeted events.
Dripped out in Saint Laurent from head-to-toe, the “Divergent” actress donned a silk and satin black strapless dress, accompanied by a slew of high-shine Jessica McCormack jewelry. Overtop her slinky dress, the thespian wore a structural black blazer which she took off for photos. Black sheer lace tights finished off the look. The monochromatic moment paired perfectly with Kravitz’s Dune slingbacks, creating an overall cohesive look.
Outside of her acting career, the “Big Little Lies” alum has dipped her toes into fashion and beauty as well. She has starred in campaigns for Tiffany & Co., Vera Wang, Balenciaga, Alexander Wang and Calvin Klein, to name a few.
Beyond Kravitz, notable attendees included Natasha Lyonne, Moses Sumney, Luka Sabbat and Lougè Delcy, among others. The brand launched a collaborative 2015 vintage bottle of their spirits featuring the artist’s colorful work fixed to the front.
The collaboration aims to embody the spirit of innovation, heritage and renewal, celebrating the meeting of two worlds. Additionally, the brand incorporated the late creative’s artwork on their boxes. When lined up, the packaging makes a full image.
