Zoe Salda?a Coordinates Style With Stephen Colbert in Oversize Saint Laurent Suit, Talks ‘Emilia Pérez’

Zoe Salda?a meant business during her appearance on “The Late Show With Stephen Colbert” on Wednesday in New York City. The actress joined the eponymous late-night talk show host to discuss her film “Emilia Pérez,” in which she costars with Selena Gomez, Karla Sofia Gascón and Adriana Paz.

For the occasion, Salda?a opted for the oversize suit trend, wearing a design courtesy of Saint Laurent. The look featured an oversize, double-breasted charcoal gray blazer with coordinated trousers. Salda?a’s blazer included sharp shoulders and lapels.

She paired her gray suit with a striped button-down and a black and gray striped tie. Salda?a chose few accessories, preferring to keep her suit the centerpiece of her attire for the evening.

As for her glam, Salda?a’s hair was styled with sleek waves by Aviva Jansen Perea. Her makeup featured a bold brow and hint of a smokey eye with a soft lip by artist Vera Steimberg. Salda?a’s look was curated by stylist Petra Flannery, who’s also collaborated with Amy Adams and Reese Witherspoon, among others.

Saint Laurent is a designer Salda?a turned to over the course of her promotional tour for “Emilia Pérez.” The actress previously wore looks by the French luxury fashion house to the Los Angeles premiere of the film on Oct. 21 and for a special screening of the film in London on Oct. 12.

Saint Laurent’s connection with “Emilia Pérez” goes beyond its stars wearing designs from the French luxury fashion house. Anthony Vaccarello, who’s served as the creative director for Saint Laurent since April 2016, participated in the film’s costume design, with Saint Laurent Productions coproducing the film, directed by French filmmaker Jacques Audiard.

“Emilia Pérez” chronicles the story of Rita played by Salda?a, a lawyer who helps a notorious cartel boss, played by Gascón, who was assigned male at birth and dreams of becoming the woman she was meant to be, disappear. The film is available to stream on Netflix.
