Check Out the Trailer for Chef Vivian Howard’s Holiday Special

On Tuesday, a special holiday episode of A Chef’s Life finds Vivian Howard in search of meaningful holiday traditions across cultures. Involving food, of course.

As fans of the show know, A Chef’s Life is the PBS reality series that follows the successes and setbacks of the North Carolina chef, who returned home to Kinston to open her first restaurant and raise her twins.

In the promo above, she visits a Jewish home to learn about Hanukkah, the Jewish Festival of Lights, and we have a feeling that latkes are in the mix. Howard also gets an up-close view of some Southern Christmas and New Year’s staples: ambrosia salad, hoppin’ John, and corned ham. Even red velvet cake makes an appearance.
