Australia-born Steph Hooi, the crafty baker behind the blog raspberri cupcakes, started the site to document her food travels in Malaysia. Her obsession for sprinkles and purple frosting quickly took over, though. So in addition to travel photos, you’ll find adorable homemade macarons and fun, colorful desserts.
Which brings us to this smiley snowman. Hooi creates two 8-inch layers of cake (she recommends using your favorite red velvet recipe) and covers them in cream cheese frosting. She then sprinkles coconut flakes all over, to create a blanket of “snow.” Now, the fun part: snowman macarons. Hooi bakes them, fills them with the same frosting, and decorates them using silver cachous as buttons. Frosty’s nose? Orange Starbusts cut into triangles (genius!). If you want snowmen at your next party, check out her recipe for the tutorial.
