Truffle Fever Strikes Jamie Oliver, Andrew Zimmern, and More
Hip, hip, hooray, it's white truffle season in Italy! For the uninitiated, these are the more expensive, rarer, powerfully aromatic sibling to black Italian truffles.
And their season, which generally begins in October and lasts only a few weeks into the fall, makes chefs downright giddy. (Though, to be honest, any sort of truffle tends to get 'em fired up.)
