One Smart Grilling Trick You May Not Have Tried
Rosemary Stalk Skewers
With its sturdy stalk, rosemary makes a great skewer, infusing grilled food with its garden-fresh flavor. Soak stalks for a half hour before adding meat, fish, or vegetables. You may need to poke through the food first with a metal skewer.

Lemongrass stalks and sugarcane can also be used as flavor-imparting skewers. Ground pork and shrimp are nice matches with lemongrass; fruit and shrimp absorb hints of sweetness from sugarcane. (And be sure to try rosemary with lamb.)
