Maggie Callahan was a lawyer for just under a decade; now she makes chocolate for a living. “I liked practicing law, and I was really good lawyer," she said. "I went to Harvard, I worked for a big law firm, I worked on big deals, but I didn’t have any passion for it.” What she did have a passion for was chocolate—particularly colorful, gem-like, museum-worthy chocolate. (You can see what we mean in these photos.)

Callahan opened Maggie Louise Confections online in 2013, and just three days ago, she opened a store in Austin, Texas. A lot of sweet things cross our desks here at Yahoo Food, but Callahan's creations caught our attention; they look like pop art and they taste like the stuff of our childhood dreams, but all grown up.

For those who don’t live in Austin, the online business continues. Act fast, though—the cutoff for Valentine’s Day orders is February 8. Then check out our story on how Callahan followed her dreams, giving up her legal career for the sweet life.
