Yoga star Kathryn Budig is known for her crazy flexibility and superhuman strength, but her skills extend beyond the yoga mat — all the way to the kitchen. Below, she shares a recipe for homemade “Love Bombs,” guaranteed to charm even the staunchest of V-Day humbugs.

I’m a huge fan of Veronica Bosgraaf’s Pure Bars, but wondered if I could make something similar myself. In honor of the impending love holiday — and my throbbing sweet tooth — I hit the kitchen. These little love bombs were born, albeit short-lived and devoured. I hope they’ll bring some sweetness into your life this Valentine’s Day. Love bombs away!

Ingredients

3/4 cup raw peanuts
2-3 tablespoons organic freshly ground peanut butter
1.5 tablespoons virgin coconut oil
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed (optional)
1 cup dates
2 tablespoons maple syrup
1 teaspoon maple syrup extract (or vanilla)
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 cup (or as much as you want) dark chocolate chips
pinch sea salt

Directions

Combine all ingredients except for chocolate chips in a food processor and pulse until fully combined or to your desired consistency (I prefer mine on the smoother side). Transfer into a bowl in fold in chocolate chips. Measure the dough into roughly 2 tablespoon portions and roll into small balls or your desired shape. Eat immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
