The Skeleton Video Everyone’s Getting Emotional Over
Chances are, by now, you’ve seen this video of the dancing skeletons pop up on your Facebook feed. And if you haven’t watched it yet, we’ll give you a sec.
Tearing up yet?
The video is from the Love Has No Labels campaign, which has the following mission statement: “Before anything else, we are all human. It’s time to embrace diversity. Let’s put aside labels in the name of love.” It’s a reminder that love has no age, gender, disability, or race, and that, ultimately, we are all humans capable of love.
If you found yourself welling up at the video, keep in mind that crying happy tears is actually good for you — a study last year in the journal Psychological Science showed that “people may be restoring emotional equilibrium with these expressions,” Yale psychologist Oriana Aragon, the lead author of the study, explained in a statement. “They seem to take place when people are overwhelmed with strong positive emotions, and people who do this seem to recover better from those strong emotions.”
So go on and cry some happy tears — and then hug your best friend, kiss your significant other, and call your mom!
