Remember this list of 36 questions to make you fall in love with anyone? A January 9th New York Times Modern Love column featured an old study that found two strangers could fall in love by looking into each other’s eyes and asking deep, probing questions. The list of questions made the internet rounds, launching a litany of reactions and — if readers’ comments are to be believed — newly deepened relationships.

But what if you’re not looking to get any closer to your date? Or if you’d like to test just how much your relationship can bend before it breaks? The New Yorker has 36 tongue-in-cheek questions for you.
