10 Films to Watch on Prime Video Now

Prime Video has some of the best films, both past and present, available to stream currently across all platforms.

From previous Oscar winners to 2024 Oscar contenders to sports documentaries and Sci-Fi flicks, they really have all bases covered.

Here are a few of the titles you must seek out if you've yet to see them.

Saltburn

If you're yet to catch up on the movie everyone is talking about, take a trip to Saltburn. The second film from Emerald Fennell is a twisted tale packed with moments that'll leave your jaw on the floor. Barry Keoghan, Jacob Elordi, Archie Madekwe, Alison Oliver, Rosamund Pike and Richard E Grant star.

Promising Young Woman

When you finish Saltburn, you can catch up on Fennell's first film, Promising Young Woman, which is available on Prime Video via Freevee. Starring Carey Mulligan, Bo Burnham, Alison Brie, Adam Brody, Sam Richardson and Clancy Brown, the film follows Cassandra, a young woman traumatized by a tragic event from her past who seeks vengeance against those who crossed her path. Emerald Fennell won an Oscar for the film's screenplay, and it was also nominated for Best Picture, Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, Best Achievement in Directing and Best Achievement in Film Editing.

Everything Everywhere All At Once

Speaking of Oscar winners, last year's Best Picture winner is ready for you to watch on Prime Video right now. Everything Everywhere All At Once follows Michelle Yeoh as Evelyn Wang, who is swept up into an adventure in which she alone can save existence by exploring other universes and connecting with the lives she could have led. Yeoh won her first Oscar for her performance, and the film scooped up seven Academy Awards total from its 11 nominations.

Till

Till tells the important true story of the 1955 tragedy where Emmett Till was murdered in a brutal lynching. The film stars Danielle Deadwyler as his mother, Mamie Till-Mobley, who vows to expose the racism behind the attack while working to have those involved brought to justice. Chinonye Chukwu directs with Jalyn Hall, Frankie Faison, Sean Patrick Thomas, John Douglas Thompson and Whoopi Goldberg starring alongside Deadwyler.

Babylon

A film that didn't get the praise it deserves is Babylon, the fourth feature from La La Land's Damien Chazelle. Margot Robbie stars as Nellie LaRoy opposite Diego Calva as Manny Torres in this tale of outsized ambition and outrageous excess, tracing the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decadence and depravity in early Hollywood. It scooped up three Oscar nominations for its technical work but ultimately fell off the radar despite having a loyal following who love its debauchery. It's a Movie with a capital M and well worth the watch if you're yet to see it.

A Thousand and One

This year's Sundance Film Festival kicks off in a couple of weeks, and one of the gems from last year's edition is now available on Prime Video. A Thousand and One follows Teyana Taylor as Inez, who kidnaps her son Terry from the foster care system. The two must find stability and a home in a rapidly changing New York City. With stunning direction from A. V. Rockwell and an immaculate performance from Taylor, the film is one of 2023's best and deserves to find its audience now it's available to stream.

Nope

If you're looking for a fun epic Sci-Fi/Horror, Jordan Peele has got your back because Nope is available for you to dive into. Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer play OJ and Emerald Haywood, siblings who reside in a lonely gulch in inland California where they bear witness to an uncanny and chilling discovery. Brandon Perea, Michael Wincott and Steven Yeun also star in this brilliant flick that has a little bit of everything.

All or Nothing: The Michigan Wolverines

Because it's football season, and Michigan just beat Alabama in the Rose Bowl game, why not treat yourself to All or Nothing: The Michigan Wolverines? The series goes behind the scenes of the winningest program in college football to chronicle Michigan's 2017 season. Head coach Jim Harbaugh leads his alma mater's young team as the series provides an intimate look at the lives, both on the field and off, of the student-athletes charged with carrying on Michigan's legacy. T'is the year of the Harbaughs, after all, as Jim's older brother John just locked up the #1 seed in the AFC and the top spot in the AFC North ahead of the NFL playoffs.

Foe

Saoirse Ronan, Paul Mescal and Aaron Pierre star in Foe, an adaptation of Iain Reid's novel, which follows Junior and Hen, who farm a secluded piece of land that has been in Junior's family for generations, but their quiet life is thrown into turmoil when an uninvited stranger shows up at their door with a startling proposal. The film is directed by the Emmy-nominated Garth Davis and written by both Davis and Iain Reid. January 5

Role Play

Role Play features Kaley Cuoco and David Oyelowo in this story about Emma, who has a wonderful husband and two kids in the suburbs of New Jersey and a secret life as an assassin for hire, something that her husband discovers when the couple decide to spice up their marriage with a little role play. January 12
