The monster is real in this dramatized account of one of the most notorious and deranged serial killers in the United States. So horrible were Dahmer’s crimes, this Netflix miniseries attracted widespread controversy from people who didn’t wish to relive them.

Ethan Hawke stars in this underrated 2012 horror film about a true crime writer who moves into a freaky new house and begins to discover a pattern of grisly murders that took place there. The opening scene involving a mass hanging will stay with you.
