The father-and-son team behind Chinatown favorite Congee Village has opened Congee Dim Sum House on the Lower East Side. The offshoot serves an extensive all-day dim sum menu along with the inventive Cantonese cooking they are famous for.
Thirty-seven different dim sum items are on the menu, including soup dumplings, siu mai, steamed egg custard buns, and a variety of rice rolls. One can also find their signature congees and dishes like lobster with sticky rice; pan-fried lamb chops with peppers and onions; honey walnut jumbo shrimp, and an abundance of fish and seafood including specialty items such as abalone, sea cucumber, and Dungeness crab.
Three private rooms are outfitted with karaoke making this spot one-stop shopping for a fun night on the town.
