114 participants ride down Central Ave for 2024 New Mexico State Fair Parade
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – This weekend, the annual New Mexico State Fair Parade took place on a portion of Central Avenue.
The State Fair, this year, runs from September 5 and ends on September 15.
The parade is a part of the festivities the fair has to offer. It took place on Saturday morning, began at Expo New Mexico, and ended about two miles west.
All sorts of participants came out to the event, like car clubs, local businesses, political groups, and schools.

For this year’s event, there were 114 float entries, complete with unique cars, animals, and mascots.
Judges were present to rate the floats. Color, music, theme, and overall appearance are all categories in the competition.
At 6 p.m. on Sunday, the winners of the 2024 parade will be announced. Last year’s parade winners can be found at this link.
