125 Labor Inspectors Complete ITC-ILO Training in Bangladesh
A new graduating class of labor inspectors of the Department of Inspection of Factories and Establishments (DIFE) is set to strengthen the capacity of Bangladesh’s labor inspection system. Last week 125 recruits (114 male and 11 female) successfully completed a three-week long induction training on inspection and occupational safety and health that covered topics like labor inspection strategies and protocol and accident investigation.
The Improving Working Conditions in the Ready Made Garment (RMG) Program of the International Labor Organization (ILO) and the International Training Center (ITC) of ILO has been carrying out the training for the current and newly recruited labor inspectors of the DIFE.
