“13 Reasons Why” Star Katherine Langford Was Almost Cast as Betty Cooper in “Riverdale”
We all know and love Katherine Langford and her role of Hannah Baker in 13 Reasons Why, but she almost cast as another one of our favorite characters in a completely different series.
"I remember we went out and we got falafel with a guy who was auditioning for Archie," Camila Mendes revealed to Entertainment Weekly.
While she was auditioning for the role of Veronica, Camila got to know Katherine a little bit more. She said that Katherine auditioned for the role of Betty, meaning she was competing against Lili Reinhart for the role and she probably wouldn't have been casted as Hannah Baker either.
Despite auditioning for the BBF roles, they never actually got to act together.
"I remember when I met her, too - I never saw her act, but some people just have a personality that’s so genuine that I’m like, 'I feel like you’re a really good actor.' They have a presence. I had that feeling with her," Camila said. "It’s just so funny to think about that time in my life. I would have never thought in that moment that I would be here, and that she would be where she is. It’s crazy!"
While Katherine won't be in 13 Reasons Why anymore, she will be returning to Netflix in her new series Cursed. But that doesn't mean we're ruling out any chances of her appearing on Riverdale in the future. Here's hoping it actually happens!
