You And 15 Friends Can Rent Out This Entire Island In Italy For $42 Each A Night
You don't always have to break the bank to plan an epic vacation. Airbnb is filled with unique travel experiences at reasonable price points. I mean, who wouldn't want to stay in one of these fairytale-esque castles or this cool desert dome? But if you're looking for more of an island getaway, the platform has plenty of those to book as well. How does a private island in Italy surrounded by the Venice Lagoon sound?
Dubbed Island Falconera, the island is going for $309 a night on Airbnb. However, the listing says that it can accommodate up to 16 guests, which means if you bring a party that large, you can pay a cool $42 a night per person. Traveling solo or with just one other? Worry not, the host Anna will drop the price to $104 per person per night for one or two guests.
Now when we say the island is completely secluded, we're not kidding. Guests will have to take an eight minute boat ride from the town of Cavallino-Treporti in Venice just to get there. Once on land, guests will have over 50 acres of land to explore. For lodging, guests can make themselves feel at home inside the island's pink seven-bedroom farmhouse. The cozy rustic decor is a plus.
There's no shortage of things to do on the island. Guests can go fishing, biking, kayaking and birdwatching, and more. There's also a garden where guests can help themselves to the fresh produce.
The listing has a 4.93 star rating. One guest wrote: "Oh my gosh this place is amazing. I booked last minute and Anna was so accommodating. I escaped the crowds of Venice with her picking me up by boat from the mainland." She continues "[Anna] couldn’t do enough to make me feel at home." You can learn more about the listing here.
