1. Dog Bark Park Inn B&B: Cottonwood, Idaho

It’s in the shape of a beagle. The shape. Of a beagle! Clearly built by animal lovers, for animal lovers, this joint is located near Hells Canyon Gorge with plenty of wide-open spaces for fetch. There’s a deck for stargazing and dog-themed games. Purchase a hand-crafted souvenir - a carved wooden dog, of course - from the gift shop run by the hosts.

Just a casual medieval castle between Tuscany and Rome waiting for you and your well-behaved dog to take a luxurious vacation to Italia. No big deal! There are several suites to choose from, but this tower struck us as something straight out of Game of Thrones. Perfect for you and your Direwolf.

6. Shipping Container Home: Brooklyn, New York

One of the first of its kind in the Big Apple, this home is made out of upcycled shipping containers. The Airbnb unit on the ground level has heated floors in winter and A/C in summer. The place has fully functional plumbing, plenty of books to read and a cute little outdoor space for chilling. They welcome dogs and babies. TBH, it’s wider than a lot of other New York apartment options.

7. Yurts and Yetis Hideaway - Fairplay, Colorado

This spot is incredible, but definitely not for the faint of heart. Located on Mount Sherman, this yurt is an ideal getaway for outdoorsy folks looking to hike, ski and really unplug. There are no outlets (solar power only) and get ready to use an outhouse. Apparently, the night sky is unbelievable. Trixie will probably love this place, as long as she’s ready for adventure.

In 2017, this was the most popular AirBnB in Illinois, maybe because of the eclectic decor and spacious rooms. Best to visit in the summertime so you can take advantage of the plant-filled garden and porch area outside, though winter would be cozy, too, surrounded by plants and art inside. Small dogs only, Trixie!

13. Macadamia and Coffee Farm: Captain Cook, Hawaii

Probably the most dog-friendly place on our list, this farm is full of animals. We’re talking goats, cats, pigs, chickens, frogs (!) and more. As the host outlines, you’ve got to expect some hubbub and activity around the place (please read the host’s description—it’s fantastic). The unit itself is a soft cabin with an enormous king-sized bed and round, floral couch. Trixie’s gonna go nuts.
