1. "Bad Guy" by Eminem (2013) "I still don't understand what's so interesting about Eminem outside of a couple of songs, especially when people say he's 'just joking.' If he's serious about what he raps, then he's a piece of shit — if he's joking, then it's a very unfunny joke and he has an awful sense of humor."

2. "D.R.U.G.S." by Iggy Azalea and YG (2011) "Iggy Azalea called herself a slave master in 'D.R.U.G.S.,' inspiring one of Azealia Banks’ infamous Twitter rants (but to be fair, she was right about that one)."

3. "Tron Cat" by Tyler, the Creator (2011) "Most of Tyler, the Creator's stuff pre–Flower Boy . It's so interesting the way he gained all of his stans from Flower Boy who are all, 'uwu, my sweet, baby Tyler' when not that long ago, he was rapping about rape and being pretty misogynistic."
—u/[deleted]
"The 'thoughts of raping really turns me on' lyrics from 'VCR/Wheels' is pretty awful."

4. "Roman Reloaded" by Nicki Minaj (2012) "Anytime a rapper refers to the Columbine shooting to highlight the severity of violence they want to impose is horrible. I HATE the lyric, 'Take bitches to school, then I Columbine these hoes.'"

5. Rick Ross's verse on "U.O.E.N.O." by Rocko (2013) "Besides the actual verse, the most absurd thing about 'U.O.E.N.O.' has to be the shit apology he ended up giving after receiving backlash. So because he 'only insinuated' and described the act of drugging and raping someone, but didn't explicitly state what he was doing was rape, we shouldn't be so hard on him? Come on."

6. The Game's verse on "Switch Lanes" by Tyga (2013) "The Game's verse is one of the worst things I've ever heard: 'Shoutout Breezy and beat it like Rihanna.'"

7. "Timber" by Pitbull and Kesha (2013) "When I finally caught the Pitbull lyric, 'She say she won’t, but I bet she will,' I couldn’t listen to the song ever again. It just felt so horrible to make light of sexual assault like that."

9. "Happy Ending" by Hopsin (2017) "Remember when Hopsin dropped a super racist song about getting hand jobs at Asian massage parlors?"
—u/kirby31200
"I still don’t understand how that Hopsin song didn’t get a shit ton of negative buzz."

10. "Villuminati" by J. Cole (2013) "I'd like to submit 'Villuminati' by J. Cole — the point of the 'My verbal AK slay f*gg*ts' verse is really confusing because of the delivery and all of the back and forth, so to me, it just comes off as misguided and unnecessary. I don't think Cole is intentionally being anti-gay in this song, but he tries to make a point that gets really confusing, so he's just yelling anti-gay slurs over and over again — literally every line gets worse."
—u/ThereIsNoSantaClaus
"It's still a straight person saying the f-word."
—u/[deleted]
"It's obviously messy AF, and if someone can't clearly deliver a message about something harmful, don't even try to."

11. Jay-Z's verse on "Monster" by Kanye West (2010) "Jay Z's verse on 'Monster' where he brags about wanting to rape and pillage a whole village is...horrible."

12. "Pumped Up Kicks" by Foster the People (2010) "I loved dancing to it, but then I actually listened to the lyrics and realized it's a song about a school shooting told from the school shooter's point of view."

14. "Love Me" by Lil Wayne, Drake, and Future (2013) "This song has a ton of disgusting, misogynistic lyrics, and the music video literally has women in cages!!!! They disrespect women on a truly horrible level in this song."

15. Eminem's verse on "Roman's Revenge" by Nicki Minaj (2010) "I’m forever mad at Nicki for letting Eminem say horrible things on what was otherwise an amazing track."

16. And "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, Pharrell, and T.I. (2013) "The issue with this song comes from implications that weren’t thought through — the blurred lines, if you will. Like, at all, especially with the fact that the lyrics are very creepy and there are a lot of women who have heard those lines before from dudes who are, in fact, creepy."
