1. You know each other's email passwords but you don't feel the need to use them for anything.

2. You look forward to Saturday night when you can…fold laundry together. It's quiet, productive, and you're together.

3. You realize you've stopped comparing yourselves to other couples.

4. All the money goes into one big "us" pot.

5. Your reaction to a crap vacation or a terrible parent-teacher conference is, "At least we were together."

6. Sometimes he gets to have more fun than you do; sometimes it's the other way around. Either way, it's all good.

7. He no longer feels emasculated when you suggest a different shirt with those pants because he knows you're totally right.

8. When you hear a story he's told for the third (or eighth) time, you don't need to pretend you're hearing it for the first time.

9. You sometimes take out the trash when it's his turn and you don't even bother to mention it.

10. You can polish off an entire pint of Ben & Jerry's, a large Domino's pizza or *insert disgusting quantity of desired junk food here*—and nobody is judging anybody.

11. You can leave your husband alone with your mother and not worry about what they're talking about.

12. He can have a heated debate with your dad without it making you want to crawl under the table.

13. You know that time spent apart is just as important as the time you spend together.

14. You can pick up an argument from the night before as soon as you wake up, but still utter a civil, "Have a nice day" and "You too" when one of you walks out the door.

15. His mother's comments totally don't even bother you that much anymore. Most days. Sort of.

16. One of you stopped being the bad cop with your kids because you're finally, truly, a united front.

17. You can say, "Will you make that thing with the mushrooms that you made that one time?" and he does and it is just as delicious as you remembered.

18. You don't feel the need to ask, "Who was that?" every time your husband slips off to take a call.

19. You don't care if your wedding dress doesn't still fit you. He still fits you, and that's what matters.
