How to Make a Classic Paper Snowflake

Materials:

Instructions:

  1. Get to folding: Fold your paper diagonally.

  2. Snip snip: Cut off the excess paper at the bottom.

  3. Fold your paper in half.

  4. Fold the paper in thirds.

  5. Flatten out the top of your paper by cutting off points.

  6. Get creative: Draw your own pattern for your snowflake.

  7. Mark all of the empty spaces you didn't draw on with an x.

  8. Reveal your pattern: Cut out the marked sections and unfold to reveal your snowflake.

Tip: Use a low setting to lightly iron your paper snowflakes to smooth out any creases.


How to Make 3D Paper Snowflakes

Materials:

Instructions:

  1. Fold your paper diagonally.

  2. Cut off the excess paper at the bottom.

  3. Fold the paper in half.

  4. Cut three diagonal lines along the non-folded edge of your paper.

  5. Unfold your paper after trimming.

  6. Tape your center flaps together.

  7. Flip and tape all of the flaps to the middle of your snowflake.

  8. Repeat all of the previous steps for the other 5 pieces of paper.

  9. Combine all six of the papers together at the middle point and use your stapler to hold them in place.

  10. Staple each section together using your stapler.
