5 educational Netflix shows your kids can watch while they’re stuck at home
Keeping kids entertained is already an uphill battle — but keeping them learning is another thing altogether.
With schools across the country closed indefinitely, parents might be struggling for ways to keep their children’s brains active. Thankfully, we still have television.
There are literally countless TV shows dedicated to helping elementary-school-aged kids learn, explore and expand their knowledge, but some are easier to find than others. Here are five of the best ones you can stream right now on Netflix.
‘Ask The StoryBots’
Literally designed to help answer your kids’ most fascinating questions, “Ask The StoryBots” is a show all about answers. The series stars five adorable astronauts — Beep, Bing, Bang, Boop and Bo — on a quest to answers the questions children ask most often.
‘The Who Was? Show’
“The Who Was? Show” is for every little history-lover in your home. Based on the book series of the same name, the show uses its cheerful host, Ron, and plenty of comical sketches to teach kids about important figures from Gandhi to Benjamin Franklin to Sacagawea.
‘The Octonauts’
An animated show featuring some curious animal explorers, “The Octonauts” will teach your children all about science, nature and the ocean. The best news? The British series, which has been on since 2010, has more than 100 episodes to keep your kids entertained.
‘Dino Hunt’
If your kids are into dinosaurs, then this show is a must-watch. “Dino Hunt,” set in Canada, is all about uncovering new fossils and searching for never-before-discovered creatures.
‘The Magic School Bus’
Some things never change, and thankfully, “The Magic School Bus” is one of those things. Ms. Frizzle and the gang are still taking their incredible bus to amazing new places, and now, with the show on Netflix, your kids can enjoy it all on-demand.
