2024 New Mexico State Fair: Helpful information and planned events

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – Fall is approaching, and that means county and state fairs are right around the bend.

This year, the New Mexico State Fair is being held from September 5 to September 15. Below, KRQE has compiled some helpful information about the days-long event.

General Information:

  • Hours

    • Sunday to Thursday: 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.

    • Friday to Saturday: 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

    • Midway Monday to Friday: 2 p.m.

    • Midway Saturday, Sunday: 10 a.m.

  • Prices

    • Adult: $15

    • Senior (65+): $8

    • Child (6 to 12): $8

    • Children under 5: Free

Getting there:

  • Officials suggest taking I-40 and exiting at San Mateo or Louisiana. The address of the State Fair is 300 San Pedro NE (Albuquerque, NM 87108).

  • Park and Ride services from Coronado Center, Saturday (2 p.m.-9 p.m., return rides until midnight), Sunday 2 p.m.-8 p.m. Tickets cost $10.

What’s allowed?

  • No deadly weapons

  • No outside food or drinks

    • Exceptions: Baby formula, items for those with special/medical needs, sealed water bottle (1 per person)

  • Smoking is allowed in certain areas

  • Service animals are allowed

  • The lost and found area is located at the VetSec building.

  • The New Mexico State Police ‘Tag your Tots’ booth is south of the Fine Arts Gallery

  • Shelters, in case of severe weather, can be found at the Tingley Coliseum lobby, Manuel Lujan Building, and Creative Arts Center

  • Scooters, strollers, and wheelchairs can be rented at Gate 1, Gate 4, and Gate 8
