27 Zebra-Print Pieces That'll Make You Look Like an Instant Street-Style Star
Into the chic wild you go.
For Fall 2019, designers took us into the wild with a slew of head-to-toe zebra-print looks. At 3.1 Phillip Lim, the black-and-white stripes covered a classic coat, while at Proenza Schouler the jagged lines appeared on a fitted long-sleeve dress. In the accessories department, Khaite and Maryam Nassir Zadeh stamped the stripes on knee-high boots and slouchy bags.
The fashion flock was quick to adopt this graphic motif. At the end of summer, we spotted vibrant iterations of the pattern on the streets of Copenhagen in-between Spring 2020 runways. And it's become a ubiquitous outfit staple among the showgoers in New York, London, Milan and Paris, proving that the playful stripes are likely to replace your cheetah spots in the next few months.
Sure, the thought of wearing such an eye-catching design seems extra, but the pattern is generally unassuming and easy to wear. While some zebra pieces are pretty bold (there's nothing understated about a floor-length, ruffled midi skirt in the animal print), others are decidedly subtle. Think: a denim dress with a zebra-print accent collar, or a simple striped bucket hat — both of which will make you look like an instant street-style star.
Because the trend is officially everywhere, we found 27 zebra-print pieces to shop before they sell out. Our favorites, ahead.
