This 3-year-old boy with brittle bone disease can't stop smiling even after surgery
Byron Baxter may be only 3, but the boy has quite the A-list group of “cyber aunts and uncles” after reaching viral fame on Instagram.
Living with a condition called osteogenesis imperfecta — also known as brittle bone disease — Baxter has an Instagram account run by his parents that tracks his health and medical progress. In an introductory post where they shared in some detail about his illness, it was revealed that the toddler’s rare genetic disease could cause him to break a bone when doing something as simple as waving his hand.
However, it seems he can’t be stopped from wiggling and waving from excitement, as his page gathers followers who are posting in support of him — including Cardi B.

On Tuesday evening, the rapper took to her Instagram to share a video of Baxter requesting prayer before heading to the hospital for his first bone infusion. Already, his smiling face has reappeared on Instagram Wednesday to inform his over 750,000 followers that the infusion was successful.
However, a later post is stealing a bit of that spotlight, with a music video created for Baxter from a loving follower Autumn Charles.

Written and sung by the contemporary Christian artist, the song was previously posted by Charles on her own account, where she described how inspired she was by Baxter. Now the viral music video created for the little boy is bringing more people and prayers to his page.
A friend of the family also created a GoFundMe page for the 3-year-old’s family, which in two months has already surpassed the $70,000 goal by nearly $20,000. The thousands of people who have contributed are sending messages of love in hopes that Baxter’s bright smile and vibrant personality continue to shine.
