32nd annual Poolesville Day to bring community fun

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. (DC News Now) — Residents in Poolesville will have the chance to celebrate the community with fun and entertainment at this year’s Poolesville Day event.

The free event, produced by the Poolesville Day Committee (PDC), will be held on Sept. 21 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. at Whalen Commons. It will feature mechanical rides, a moon bounce, pony rides, train rides, food vendors, an electric vehicle car show, local music performances and more.

As a part of the fun, there will also be a town parade from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. and a 5K charity run at 8 a.m.

Annual State Fair of Virginia returning with concerts, rides, more

The parade will start at Poolesville Elementary School and end at the intersection of Fisher Avenue and Route 109, with dancers, poms, floats and more. The run begins and ends at Poolesville Baptist Church.

Runners can register for the race here.

Proceeds from the run are used to support the community, according to the Poolesville Day website.
