The 4 Greatest Moments From the 2018 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremony
After 23 American medals, countless Adam Rippon-isms and Leslie Jones’s spectacular commentary, the 2018 PyeongChang Olympics sadly came to a close last night. We have no idea what we’ll do with our spare time now that the Olympics are over, but at least we have our newfound love of ice-dancing (oh, Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, *swoon*) to keep us warm at night. Here, four of the Closing Ceremony’s most epic moments.
The Final Medals Were Given Out
Olympic cross-country skiiing gold medalist Marit Bjorgen of Norway, silver medalist Krista Parmakoski of Finland and bronze medalist Stina Nilsson of Sweden were lucky enough to receive their medals during the Olympic closing ceremony. Who run the final podium? Girls.
And Lindsey Vonn Got a Leg Up
Vonn stood out from her fellow athletes, thanks to a helping hand shoulder from a fellow American Olympian.

Tongan Olympian Pita Taufatofua’s Abs Glistened (Again)
Taufatofua’s six-pack (...eight-pack?) first got attention at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics, where he competed in taekwondo. This time around, he tried his hand at cross-country skiing and donned traditional Tongan garb at the closing ceremony (this guy is basically immune to winter).
And Finally, South Korea Passed the Olympic Flag to China
Beijing mayor, Chen Jining, accepted the flag on behalf of his city. This just in, the 2022 Winter Olympics will take place on his home turf. (OK, we have four years to master curling.)
