6 Hand Soaks That Repair Dry, Cracked Hands Fast

  • 2/3 cup of old-fashioned oatmeal (optional: add to a small sachet bag if you have one on-hand)

  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil

Anti-inflammatory oatmeal calms irritation, says Ted Lain, MD, a board-certified dermatologist in Austin, Texas and its polysaccharides leave a thin film over skin to prevent moisture loss.
