5 new international flights added from Sky Harbor. Here's where you can go
Airlines in Phoenix are stepping up to meet demand for international flights by expanding the routes people can take to visit America's northern and southern neighbors.
Lynx Air, an ultra-low-cost Canadian carrier that launched service at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in February with flights to Calgary, Alberta, is now flying between Phoenix and Toronto. The route launched on Oct. 12.
Another Canadian ultra-low-cost-carrier, Flair Airlines, began seasonal flights between Phoenix and three Canadian cities on Oct. 30, repositioning its service from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
And in February 2024, American Airlines will extend its place as a leading provider of Phoenix-Mexico flights when it begins flying to Tijuana.

New routes to Canada from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
Eight months after Lynx Air launched service at Sky Harbor with flights between Phoenix and Calgary, the carrier added another new route. It began flying to Toronto on Oct. 12.
The flights will run three days in most weeks; from December to February they'll run four days a week.
Lynx is the third carrier offering nonstop flights between Phoenix and Toronto, Canada's most populous city. WestJet and Air Canada also fly there.
"We're excited to connect Toronto with world renowned golf destinations with beautiful weather and beautiful landscapes," Lynx Air CEO Jim Sullivan said during an event at Sky Harbor celebrating the new route's launch.

Another batch of flights to Canada are new to Sky Harbor, but not to metro Phoenix.
Flair Airlines launched seasonal service from Sky Harbor on Oct. 30, flying to Vancouver, British Columbia, and the Alberta cities of Calgary and Edmonton. The Vancouver and Edmonton routes previously flew from Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport, where Flair operated seasonally during 2018-19, 2021-22 and 2022-23.
Flair will fly more frequently out of Sky Harbor than it did at Mesa Gateway, part of a strategy to expand its service to warm-weather destinations for Canadian snowbirds.

New routes to Mexico from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport
In 2024, American Airlines will operate Sky Harbor's first flights to and from Tijuana, the border city in Baja California about 20 miles from San Diego that's known for its beaches.
The daily nonstop flights will mark American's 12th route to Mexico and 13th international route out of Sky Harbor.
The new route builds on an ongoing effort from American Airlines to connect Phoenix and Mexico.
In January, American began flying between Phoenix and Monterrey, the capital of Nuevo León and Mexico's second largest city. It marked the first flight between the two cities in nearly two decades.
