5 Styles That Add Volume to Your Fine, Mid-Length Hair
Medium-length hair is like the Goldilocks of all cuts. It’s bouncy since long strands don’t weigh it down, yet it can still be pulled back into a pony for workouts (or lazy days). But if your hair is also thin, chances are you’re in the market for more volume, fullness or even both. These five styles tick both boxes and then some.
Curtain Bangs
Bangs give fullness to the front of your hair without forsaking volume elsewhere. Opt for curtain fringe so you have styling options—part them in the middle or push them to one side.

Deep Side Part
Part your hair all the way to one side (like over your eyebrow arch) to quickly create a little extra oomph. Then tuck your hair behind your ear on the side with the part for instant polish.
Tousled Side Braid
Ditch the tight fishtail braids that further condense already-fine hair. Deeply part and pull hair to one side, mist with texturizing spray, and create a braid. Secure it with an elastic and then tug at each section to loosen it (don't worry, the texturizing spray will prevent any further slippage). Your hair will look fuller because the strands won't be so tightly packed together.
Voluminous Updo
Slick back the sides and tease the top to add volume where it counts. Don’t be afraid to work with your baby hairs for a slightly undone look.
Crown Braids
Using braids as a headband quite literally adds more hair to the top of your head, making it look like you have tons. Just create two simple plaits, then flip them up and secure them in place with bobby pins.
